Recital Day Parent FAQs

“What time should my dancer arrive to the Recital?”

1

Please arrive with your dancer no later than 12pm on Recital Day. The show will begin promptly at 12:30pm.

“What should my dancer wear to the Recital?”

2

Dancers should arrive in their recital costume on Recital day. If they are in multiple routines, please bring their additional costumes on a hanger. There will be clothing racks in all dressing rooms. REMINDER: Please put your dancer’s name in ALL items including shoes, tights, and costume!

“What hair and make up should my dancer wear?”

3

All dancers should have FULL stage make up on upon arrival, including blush, mascara, and RED lipstick (bright red). The studio hairstyle Is a slicked back center-parted low ponytail, with hair piece attached if needed.

“Where do I drop off and pick up my dancer?”

4

Once you enter the school gymnasium, you’ll be directed to the hallway where a parent volunteer will tell you which dressing room your child will be in for the duration of the Recital.

We ask that after the show, ONE parent or guardian return to the designated dressing room to pick up their child.

5

“Once I drop my dancer off in the dressing room, am I allowed to check on them or go backstage during the show?”

No. We kindly ask that you remain seated in the gymnasium once the show has begun.

6

“What should I pack for my dancer for Recital day?”

Please pack a water bottle, a small NO MESS snack, and any shoes or accessories your dancer needs for their Recital routine. There will be printed activity sheets with crayons in both dressing rooms for our dancers to keep them entertained.

7

“Am I allowed to take photos or videos of my dancer during the Recital?”

To keep our dancers safe and focused during their performances, Focused Fusion does not permit taking video or photos throughout the Recital. A professional videographer & photographer will be documenting the entire event.

8

“Can I leave after my dancer performs?”

We ask that you wait to exit until the end of the finale. Once prompted, you’ll send one parent or guardian to pick up your child from the dressing rooms.

9

“My dancer is in more than 1 routine in the Recital. Who will help them change?”

We will have pop up changing tents backstage and in the dressing rooms for our dancers’ use. We’ll also have parent volunteers helping throughout the entire Recital - so you can enjoy the show!

10

“Who do I contact on Recital day if I have questions?”

Although we will be periodically checking calls/texts on our studio phone number, we ask that you return to these FAQs to answer any of your concerns. Our main focus on Recital day will be creating THE BEST possible experience for you, your family and your friends!
